As the existing car parks will provide the development land, alternative facilities must be created. The solution is to build multi-storey car parks located to the west of the existing exhibition halls and also to the east of the new Arena. An underlying tenet of the development will be to encourage the use of public transport. The covered walkway from Exhibition Centre station will be modified to link into the Arena and will encourage non-car based travel to the Centre.
